Steve Lantz is the President and Founder of Lantz Group Management Consulting, an independent consulting firm launched in 2017 focused on helping small to middle-market businesses achieve their objectives.  Lantz Group works with organizations, executives, leaders, and teams to develop strategic plans, manage business transitions, identify and solve business constraints, and overcome barriers to growth.

Steve received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.  He continues his education by participating in ongoing Finance, Management, Innovation, and Business Strategy courses at respected executive education institutions across the U.S., including The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Business School.  He is often a guest speaker for executive business engagements and was most recently engaged by the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM) to discuss the importance of aligning organizational structure to business strategy.

Steve started his career as a Senior Design Engineer in the defense industry and progressed through various leadership positions, primarily in the pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries. Throughout his 30+ years in the industry, he has operated across multiple ownership structures, including family-owned, private equity, and Fortune 150 public companies. He has managed multi-site operations, including overseas operations in the UK, Taiwan, Singapore, and China.  In addition to his general management and operational leadership roles, he has also been involved in several mergers and acquisitions and had direct oversight of various functions in Product Development, Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Quality, Customer Service, and Logistics.

 

Before forming Lantz Group, Steve held a leadership position with Illinois Tool Works (ITW) Fluids North America Division.
